A la atención de Don Ángel Yuste, Secretario General de Instituciones Penitenciarias y Don Javier Nistal, Subdirector General

Frente al fallecimiento del recluso Arkaitz Bellon y ante la situacion de los presos que se agrupan en el Colectivo de Presos Políticos Vascos quiero presentarles las siguientes exigencias:
1º Que todas las circustancias del fallecimiento de Arkaitz Bellon sean completamente esclarecidas.
2º Que los reclusos y reclusas aquejados de enfermedades graves sean puestos en libertad, al amparo del artículo 92.3 del código penal.
3º Que los reclusos y reclusas vascos sean trasladados a prisiones cercanas a sus familias tal y como recoge la legislación española y las recomendaciones internacionales.

Estimados Señores, dichas medidas no pueden ser entendidas como una concesión de ningún tipo, son simples medidas de respeto de los Derechos Humanos.

Facing the death of inmate Arkaitz Bellon and regarding the situation of the prisoners that conform the Colective of Basque Political Prisoners I submit the following demands to you:
1st That all the circumstances of the death of Arkaitz Bellon be fully clarified.
2nd That the prisoners suffering from serious diseases are released, under Article 92.3 of the Criminal Code.
3rd That Basque prisoners are transferred to prisons near their families as stated by Spanish law and international recommendations.

Dear Sirs, these measures can not be understood as a concession of any kind, those are simple measures for the respect of Human Rights.
